WordPress Problem: Upgrade to 3.6 Broke Visual Editor

Wordpress Update

WordPress Update

When I logged in to my wordpress powered websites, TheDistrictPhotographer.Com and this one, I noticed that WordPress 3.6 is out. Curious as to what it has to offer, I went ahead and upgraded two of my sites. Excited and all, I started to navigate my Online Photo Gallery site, first thing I noticed was the speed of the admin interface. I can tell that the performance was way better than the previous 3.5.2. I checked my plugins and everything looks good. Now when I started to create a new post, that’s when I noticed that the visual editor was broken. Broken in a sense that there where no navigation bottons.

I check this blog’s upgrade result and both sites exhibit the same problem. I disabled all plugins on both sites but still the same, no visual editor.

I was able to solved the problem by inserting these two line of code to my wp-config file:

define('SCRIPT_DEBUG', true);
define('CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS', false);

just before the line ” require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’) “. Thanks to  danapollo from the wordpress support site.

After the update, everything is back in place, on both websites. see screen capture above.
