Dolica AX620B100 62-Inch Proline Tripod and Ball Head
I got my new Dolica AX620B100 62-Inch Proline Tripod and Ball Head today. And after trying it out with my Canon EOS Digital Rebel Xs fitted with my Sigma 70-300mm APO DG Macro, with the addition of the battery grip with a total estimated weight of 14 lbs, including the strap and batteries, it was impressive. I give it a 5 Star.
It holds the camera with no problem whatsoever. The AX620B100 Proline Series, is made out of professional alluminum alloy, light enough for me to carry around. Before I decided to buy this tripod, I spent a lot of time researching, and crowling the web, and the biggest problem I have is the price. At first, I wanted to buy a tripod made out of carbon fiber so it’ll be light enought to carry around, the problem with carbon fiber is the price, even in ebay the cheapest one that I found was around $120.00 which is way beyond my budget. Then I found this,the Dolica AX620B100 on Amazon whicc has good reviews, 14-5Star ratings, 2-4Star and 1-2Star, what caught my eyes is the price, only $39.99.
This tripod also comes with carrying case which makes it even more handy.

Ian, sorry for the late reply, been busy lately, the ball head is great. I like it. I’ve been using this tripod a lot.
Can the ball head support the camera without having to be at 90 degrees like that, or can any ball head be expected to do that without costing an exceedingly large amount of money?
