HP’s Wall of Touch watches you, too
We’ve seen the future, and it involves a gigantic wall that reacts to your touch. HP’s “Wall of Touch” can do even better than that, sensing your intent even when your hands come close to touching it. Continental to launch in-flight WiFi in 2010
Looks like Continental is the latest to inch closer to our dream of WiFi on every flight: the airline just announced that it’ll be rolling out Gogo in-flight internet service on 21 Boeing 757-300s in its fleet starting in Q2 2010. The service will cost $4.95 and up based on flight length, and the 757s in question mostly serve domestic routes — we’re hoping Continental takes a cue from American and US Airways and lets passengers check to see if their plane is WiFi-enabled.

Find 10 balloons, win $40,000
Okay smarty-pants, here’s your chance to get rich quick. DARPA , the research arm of the US military-industrial complex that invented the Internet along with Al Gore forty years ago, will commemorate that anniversary with the DARPA Network Challenge, giving away $40,000 for going on a wild goose chase looking for red weather balloons. DARPA will be tying up 10 of the eight-foot balloons somewhere in the continental United States, all in fixed locations and visible from nearby roadways
